This book of poems largely follows the theme of the poets spiritual understandings and beliefs. Some of the longer poems like'revelations 1 and 2'are stories about a homeless street preacher who talks to god on a public phone and his tragic end, and about a traditional apocalypse in a bar setting. There are some poems that go off the topic like'cosmetic'and'love reassembly'which are written about 2 dreams the poet had. The epic poem at the end is a tale about an idol carver who is exiled from a culturaly and politicaly religious town for making idols that benifit people. It goes on to talk about a potion that causes sexual violence and infatuation that is investigated by the sherrif to find out that is the work of the idol carver who's influence has spread in neighbouring townships. It goes on the explain why people in the town are effected that way. It is critical of organised religion. All poems are written in rhymic verse. Enjoyable and interesting.Product details
